Background

CD82, a member of the tetraspanin (TM4SF) family, is a suppressor of tumorigenicity 6 and of metastasis in prostate, pancreatic, hepatocellular, cervical and colorectal carcinomas. It is expressed by T cells, NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes and platelets. CD82 associates with CD4 or CD8 and delivers co-stimulatory signals for the TCR/CD3 pathway
