Background
The H35-17.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD8beta molecule. The CD8beta chain associates with the CD8alpha chain to form the CD8alpha/beta heterodimer expressed on the surface of a majority of thymocytes, and on peripheral cytotoxic alphabeta TCR T cells. CD8 binds to MHC class I and plays a role in T cell development and activation of mature T cells.
