Background

ANKRD30A, also known as Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 30A, consists of a 1,397 amino acid isoform that is 159 kDa, and is mainly found in the testis, breast, and placenta. The specific function of the protein is undetermined. Research is currently being conducted on ANKRD30A and its relation to breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, gout, and fainting. The protein is not currently associated with any pathways, but does interact with UBC.
