| Description | This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2b format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques. |
| Additional Information | Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody |
| Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with a recombinant human actin protein. (Uniprot# P68133) |
| Specificity | This antibody binds actin. Actin is a type of spherical multi-functional protein that forms a microfilament. Actin is widely existent in eukaryotic organisms, and there is a major component constituting the muscle segment and the cell skeleton in the cytoplasm and cellular nucleus of the intramuscular cell. Muscle specific actin (MSA) is a highly conserved, ubiquitous protein found in muscle and some non-muscle cells. In addition to participating in the normal morphology of maintaining cells, actin also participates in the formation, adhesion, migration, apoptosis, material transport, transmembrane information transfer, and receptor aggregation. |
