Background

Component of the escrt-iii complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (mvbs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into mvbs. the mvb pathway mediates delivery of transmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. the escrt-iii complex is probably involved in the concentration of mvb cargo. required for sorting/trafficking of egf receptor. in case of infection, the hiv-1 virus takes advantage of the escrt-iii complex for budding and exocytic cargos of viral proteins.

Limitations

Molarity Calculator

Calculate the mass, volume, or concentration required for a solution.

The molarity calculator is based on the following equation:

Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) x Volume (L) x Molecular Weight (g/mol)

As an example, if the molecular weight of a compound is 197.13 g/mol and the desired concentration is 10 mM for 10 ml of water based stock solution, the required mass would be = 19.713 (value determined by this calculator).
