Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green).Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm and nucleus.

Background

Translin (TSN) is a DNA-binding protein that specifically binds to consensus sequences at breakpoint junctions of chromosomal translocations in many cases of lymphoid malignancies. TRAX (translin-associated factor X)was isolated as a protein that specifically interacted with TSN in cotransformation and in vitro interaction assays. TRAX bears a homology to Translin. Translin and TRAX have been proposed to be involved in DNA recombination, chromosomal translocation and mRNA transport and translation.
