Applications/Dilutions

Dilutions
  • Cell Proliferation
  • ELISA 1:100-1:2000
  • Sandwich ELISA 1:100-1:2000
Application Notes
Detection of transferrin in serum by sandwich immunoassay. Detection of transferrin - transferrin receptor complex by sandwich ELISA. Recommended pairs for transferrin detection by sandwich immunoassay (coating -conjugate): NB110-7906 (Coating) - NB110-7905 (Conjugate). At 10^-6M antibodies NB110-7905 and NB110-7906 inhibit proliferation of Con-A stimulated peripheral blood lymphocytes. NB110-7905 is working in indirect immunofluorescence on fixed, paraffin embedded human brain tissue.

Background

The function of transferrin is to transport iron from the intestine, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. In addition to its function in iron transport, this protein may also have a physiologic role as granulocyte/pollen-binding protein (GPBP) involved in the removal of certain organic matter/allergins from serum.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
