Background

TIAF1 inhibits the cytotoxic effects of TNF-alpha and over expressed TNF receptor adapters TRADD, FADD, and RIP. Involved in TGF-beta1 inhibition of IkappaB-alpha expression and suppression of TNF-mediated IkappaB-alpha degradation.
