Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: PGK1 Antibody (ST49-07) [NBP2-67534] - Staining PGK1 in HepG2 cells (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS.

Unlabeled sample was used as a control (cells without incubation with primary antibody; black).

Background

PGK1 is encoded by this gene is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. The encoded protein may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. This gene lies on the X-chromosome, while a related pseudogene also has been found on the X-chromosome and another on chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq]
