Background
Mouse Osteocrin, also known as Musclin, is a secreted protein that is
primarily expressed in bone and muscle. It is synthesized as an 11 kDa
proprotein that undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a mature
50 amino acid (5 kDa) C-terminal active peptide. It was found to
modulate osteoblast differentation and to regulate glucose metabolism
in muscles. Mouse Osteocrin proprotein shares 77% and 78% amino acid
sequence identity with the rat and human protein, respectively.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
