Background

Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers theperception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors(GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with manyneurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction ofodorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to theolfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms. Molarity Calculator

Calculate the mass, volume, or concentration required for a solution.

The molarity calculator is based on the following equation:

Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) x Volume (L) x Molecular Weight (g/mol)

As an example, if the molecular weight of a compound is 197.13 g/mol and the desired concentration is 10 mM for 10 ml of water based stock solution, the required mass would be = 19.713 (value determined by this calculator).
