Notes
Powered by EDIGENE. Validation of antibody specificity is critical and verification of antibody performance against knockout samples is one way to guarantee that an antibody recognizes a specific target. Novus' KO cell lysate can be used as a negative control for western blots and to confirm the specificity of antibodies.

Background
This gene encodes a member of the Par-1 family of serine/threonine protein kinases. The protein is an important regulator of cell polarity in epithelial and neuronal cells, and also controls the stability of microtubules through phosphorylation and inactivation of several microtubule-associating proteins. The protein localizes to cell membranes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009]
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Lysates are
guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt.
