Background

GALNTL2 catalyzes the initial reaction in O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis, the transfer of anN-acetyl-D-galactosamine residue to a serine or threonine residue on the protein receptor. Displays the same enzymeactivity toward Muc1, Muc4.1, and EA2 than GALNT1
