Background

The FGFs plays an important role in regulating tissue growth, morphogenesis and tissue repair. FGF-18 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. The human FGF-18 is a 21.2 kDa protein containing 182 amino acid residues.
