Background

Members of the ribonuclease III superfamily of double-stranded (ds) RNA-specific endoribonucleases participate in diverse RNA maturation and decay pathways in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells (Fortin et al., 2002 [PubMed 12191433]). The RNase III Drosha is the core nuclease that executes the initiation step of microRNA (miRNA) processing in the nucleus (Lee et al., 2003 [PubMed 14508493]).[supplied by OMIM]

Details:
Drosha antibody used for WB at 1:1000 dilution on lysates of A2780, OVCAR3 and MCF7 cells exposed to hypoxia (Figure 1b; Supplementary Figure 5d). Antibody used for IHC-Fr on A2780 mouse tumour samples treated or not with bevacizumab (Figure 1f). Antibody also used for ICC-If on OVCAR3 cells under hypoxic and normoxic conditions (Supplementary Figure 2d) and on HeyA8 cells ectopically expressing Drosha, Dicer or both (Supplementary Figure 17c). In WB, the antibody also used on wild-type HIF1-alpha (+/+) or HIF1-alpha-knockout (-/-) mouse embryonic fibroblasts under normoxic and hypoxic conditions (Supplementary Figure 3b), and under hypoxic conditions after ETS1 and ELK1 gene knockdown with 2 independent siRnA sequences in A2780 cells (Supplementary Figure 7c).
