Immunohistochemistry: DEPDC1A Antibody [26630002] - Most of the normal tissues displayed weak nuclear positivity. Moderate immunoreactivity was seen in trophoblastic cells, glandular cells of gastro-intestinal tract and thyroid gland, glomerular and tubular cells of kidney. Lymphoid tissues and myocytes were negative. A majority of cancers showed moderate nuclear positivity. Lymphomas were weakly stained. Hepatocellular carcinomas were negative. Background

DEPDC1a is a protein that is expressed frequently in bladder cancer cells. DEPDC1a is also significantly up-regulated in DCIS and IDC breast cancers. It seems to be important for the proliferation, as well as the migration and invasion, of cancer cells.
