Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: BOP1 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-12594] - Immunofluorescence staining of BOP1 in PC3 cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with NBP3-12594 (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4 overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Nucleus.

Background

BOP1 (block of proliferation 1) is a component of the PeBoW (Pes1, Bop, WDR12) complex that plays a role in the processing of 28S and 5.8S ribosomal RNAs and the formation of the 60S ribosome. BOP1 contains seven WD repeats and was originally identified as a cDNA which inhibited cell proliferation. The deregulation of the BOP1 gene is proposed to contribute to colorectal tumorigenesis.
