Lysate Details for BAT3/BAG6
HEK293T cells in 10-cm dishes were transiently transfected with a non-lipid polymer transfection reagent specially designed and manufactured for large volume DNA transfection. Transfected cells were cultured for 48hrs before collection. The cells were lysed in modified RIPA buffer (25mM Tris-HCl pH7.6, 150mM NaCl, 1% NP-40, 1mM EDTA, 1xProteinase inhibitor cocktail mix, 1mM PMSF and 1mM Na3VO4, and then centrifuged to clarify the lysate. Protein concentration was measured by BCA protein assay kit. This product is manufactured by and sold under license from OriGene Technologies and its use is limited solely for research purposes.

This gene was first characterized as part of a cluster of genes located within the human major histocompatibility complex class III region. This gene encodes a nuclear protein that is cleaved by caspase 3 and is implicated in the control of apoptosis. In addition, the protein forms a complex with E1A binding protein p300 and is required for the acetylation of p53 in response to DNA damage. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]. Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in the 5' UTR and utilizes an alternative in-frame splice site in the 5' coding region, compared to variant 1. Variants 2, 3, and 4 encode the same isoform (b), which is 6 aa shorter than isoform a. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Entrez Gene record to access additional publications.
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Lysates are guaranteed
