Alkaline Phosphatase, Intestinal Antibody - Azide and BSA Free Summary
| Description |
This antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Alkaline Phosphatase [Calf Intestine]

| Application Notes |
This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Alkaline Phosphatase [Calf intestine] in a standard ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat) and (ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:2,000 to 1:8,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. |

Background
Alkaline phosphatase removes phosphate groups from the 5' end of DNA and RNA, and from proteins, at high pH. Most mammals have 4 different isozymes - placental, placental-like, intestinal and non-tissue specific (found in liver, kidney and bone).
Limitations

-
I recently received the Alkaline Phosphatase (calf intestinal) antibody from Novus (Cat# NB120-7328, Lot# 170) and in initial experiments it works nicely. However, I would like to use it for quantitative experiments. Therefore, it would be very helpful if you could tell me the molar concentration of this antibody.
- The concentration of Lot 170 is 1mg/ml.
