Background
IFITM3 is a member of the IFITM family, which mediates cellular processes, including the homotypic cell adhesion functions of interferons (IFNs) (1). It is an IFN-induced antiviral protein that mediates cellular innate immunity to at least three major human pathogens, namely influenza A H1N1 virus, West Nile virus (WNV), and dengue virus (WNV), by inhibiting the early steps of replication (2). High expression levels of IFITM3 have been found in gastric cancer cell and colorectal tumors (1).

FAQs for IFITM3/Fragilis Antibody (NBP1-95757). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).
Does your anti-IFITM3 antibody cross react with IFITM2 or it is specific only to IFITM3?
Our IFITM3 antibody with catalogue number NBP1-95757 has unfortunately not been tested for its cross-reactivity to other IFITMs. I checked through our other 14 antibodies to IFITM3, but was unable to find an alternative antibody that had been tested for reactivity against other IFITMs, I am sorry for any inconvenience. Since human IFITM3 and IFITM2 share a sequence homology of 90% it is highly likely that antibodies which recognise IFITM3 will also recognise IFITM2.
