Immunoprecipitation: TAF2 Antibody [NBP1-21372] - Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TAF2 antibody used for IP at 10 mcg/mg lysate. TAF2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TAF2 antibody NBP1-21371, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated TAF2, was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background

TAF2 is a component of the multi-subunit TFIID transcription factor. The TFIID complex is important for coordinating the pre-initiation complex and transcription by RNA Pol II. The complex contains the TFIID protein, TATA binding protein (TBP) and multiple TBP-associated factors (TAFs). TAF2 has been shown to play an important role in gene expression required for progression through the cell cycle.
