Western Blot: SSH1 [p Ser978] Antibody [NBP3-23411] - Western blot of human recombinant SSH1 untreated (lanes 1 & 3) or treated with lambda phosphatase (lanes 2 & 4) and rat PC12 cells unstimulated (lanes 5 & 7) or stimulated with calyculin A (lanes 6 & 8). The blots were probed with anti-SSH1 (C-term.) (lanes 1, 2, 5, & 6) or anti-SSH1 (Ser-978) (lanes 3, 4, 7, & 8).

Background

SSH1, also known as slingshot, is a phosphatase that functions to activate the actin severing protein, ADF/cofilin, and influence actin dynamics. There are three members of the slingshot family, SSH1, SSH2, and SSH3. SSH1 has been shown to function downstream of alpha6beta4 integrin/Rac1 signaling in conjunction with 14-3-3 association.
