Background

Probable adapter protein located at the actin cytoskeleton that promotes cell attachment. Necessary for themigratory capacity of epithelial cells. Overexpression enhances cell adhesion to collagen and fibronectin andsuppresses anchorage independent growth. May contribute to tumor cell migratory capacity
