Background

MEK kinase 4 (MEKK4), also known as MTK1, is a Ser/Thr protein kinase belonging to the MAP kinase kinase kinase family (1). This protein contains a protein kinase catalytic domain at the C-terminus. The N-terminal, non-kinase domain may contain a regulatory domain. MEKK4 regulates p38 and JNK, butnot ERK pathway, through the phosphorylation of the MAP2Ks MKK3 and MKK6 and MKK4 and MKK7 respectively (1-2).

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Peptides and proteins are guaranteed for 3 months from date of receipt.

Calculate the mass, volume, or concentration required for a solution.

The molarity calculator is based on the following equation:

Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) x Volume (L) x Molecular Weight (g/mol)

As an example, if the molecular weight of a compound is 197.13 g/mol and the desired concentration is 10 mM for 10 ml of water based stock solution, the required mass would be = 19.713 (value determined by this calculator).
