IL36 Beta Protein is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The specific activity is determined by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rHuIL-36beta at 1 ug/mL can bind recombinant human IL-1 Rrp2 Fc Chimera with a range of 0.15-5 ug/mL.

Less than 1 EU/ug of endotoxin as determined by LAL method.

Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitute with sterilized distilled water or 0.1% BSA aqueous buffer to a final concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml.
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1B) is a non-secreted proinflammatory cytokine produced mainly by activated macrophages, as well as neutrophils, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. It possesses metabolic, physiological, haematopoietic activities, and plays one of the central roles in the regulation of the immune responses. Both IL-1a and IL-1B binds to the same receptor and has similar but not identical biological properties; The mature human IL-1B shares 96% amino acid sequence identity with rhesus and 67 % -78 % with canine, mouse and rat IL-1B.
