Western Blot: Galectin-3 Antibody (JF39-10) [NBP2-66857] - Western blot analysis of Galectin-3 on different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/500) was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Galectin-3 Antibody (JF39-10) [NBP2-66857] - Staining Galectin 3 in NIH/3T3 cells (red). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS.

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: Galectin-3 Antibody (JF39-10) [NBP2-66857] - Analysis of paraffin-embedded rat bladder tissue with Rabbit anti-Galectin 3 antibody washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the primary antibody at 1/200 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: Galectin-3 Antibody (JF39-10) [NBP2-66857] - Analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon tissue with Rabbit anti-Galectin 3 (1/1,000) antibody. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 2 minutes. The tissues were blocked in 1% BSA for 20 minutes at room temperature, washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the primary antibody for 1 hour at room temperature. The detection was performed using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

Background

Galactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis
