Galectin-3 Antibody (A3A12) [DyLight 488]

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Galectin-3 Antibody (A3A12) [DyLight 488] [NB300-538G] - LLOMe treatment results in lysosomal damage in T98G glioblastoma cells as evidenced by the accumulation of galectin-3 positive vesicles. T98G cells were treated with LLOMe (1 uM) for 1 h to induce lysosomal damage. Cells were fixed (4% paraformaldehyde) 6 h after washout, blocked with 10% goat serum in 0.1% PBST (1 h, RT), stained with DyLight 488 conjugated galectin-3 antibody (green) (overnight, 4C).The following day, samples were washed with cold PBST, mounted using Prolong Gold mountant with DAPI (blue). Background

Galactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis
