Background

EGFLAM (EGF-like, fibronectin type-III and laminin G-like domain-containing protein or Pikachurin) is a 1017 amino acid signaling protein. It is detected in the synaptic cleft during the retinal photoreceptor ribbon synapse response and is necessary for proper bipolar dendritic tip apposition.
