Background

The DEAD-box RNA helicase 41 (DDX41) is the human homolog of the protein Abstrakt from Drosophila which is involved in fly development. The function of human DDX41 is unknown however, it is required during post-transcriptional gene expression and may be involved in pre-mRNA splicing.
