Western Blot: CGI-09 Antibody [NBP1-50040] - Detection of Human TRM6 by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 mcg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 mcg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TRM6 antibody used for WB at 0.1 mcg/ml (A) and 1 mcg/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 mcg/mg lysate. TRM6 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TRM6 antibody which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated TRM6, the ReliaBLOT Reagents and Procedures were used. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 10 seconds (B).

Background

The protein encoded by this gene is similar to an uncharacterized protein from C. elegans. Although the function of the encoded protein is unknown, it shares weak sequence similarity to a region of S. cerevisiae translation initiation factor subunit Gcd10p.
