| Description | Caspase 8, also known as FLICE, MACH and Mch5 is self-activated or activated in response to granzyme B cleavage. Caspase 8 specifically recognizes IETD. Activated caspase 8 can not only cleave PARP, but also participate in the activation of other ICE family proteases, such as caspase 3 and caspase 7. This caspase 8 activity assay kit is based on caspase 8 that can catalyze the substrate Ac-IETD-pNA to generate yellow pNA (p-Nitroaniline). The pNA has a strong absorption near 405 nm, The activity of caspase 8 can be calculated by determining the absorbance at 405 nm. |
