Background
There are at least two distinct receptor subtypes of angiotensin II: angiotensin II receptor, type 1 (AGTR1) and angiotensin II receptor, type 2 (AGTR2). Most of the effects of angiotensin II are mediated by the AGTR1 receptor. This gene is related to the AGTR1 gene by sequence similarity. It was cloned based on a conserved transmembrane domain found in members of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) gene family.
Limitations

FAQs for APJ/Apelin receptor Antibody (NBP1-00713). (Showing 1 - 2 of 2 FAQ).
-
I am interested to know if NBP1-00713 recognizes an extracellular loop on the Apelin Receptor protein. Can you tell me which amino acids or an approximate number of amino acids flanking the Cysteine 181 that the antibody make recognize?
- NBP1-00713 was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence which includes cysteine 181 of the human protein. According to sequence information provided on uniprot.org, the sequence containing this residue is well within an extracellular loop of the protein.
-
Can you tell me if the entire peptide that was used to generate the antibody is present in this extracellular loop?
- Yes, the entire peptide is exclusively present in the extracellular loop. I hope this helps!
