Background
The Alpha 2c- Adrenergic Receptor controls the release of neurotransmitter from central adrenergic neurons and from sympathetic nerves in the heart. This receptor also plays a role in cognitive and behavioral function. Two variants are produced by alternative splicing. Alpha 2c-Adrenoceptor has been reported extensively in the brain. Blood, corpus cavermosum, kidney, and heart tissues have also been reported to express ADRA2C. ESTs have been isolated from heart and placenta, as well as mixed heart/melanocyte/uterus libraries.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are
guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
