1. I'm thinking to buy your product WNT2 recombinant protein (H00007472-P01). According to datasheet, this product is not active. However, in the reference papers, the authors used it in their experiments that require activity. I'm wondering how Novus generated this product (from bacteria? cultured cell?) and have you checked activity by yourself (and if so, how?).
   • We (Novus) have not actually tested the activity of WNT2 Recombinant Protein (H00007472-P01), and neither has the manufacturer of this particular product, a company called Abnova. This is a recombinant protein produced using Abnova's in vitro wheat germ expression system . Because the protein is not native, and we have not proven its activity, we include the statement on the datasheet, as we cannot guarantee it will be suitable for functional studies (and so it is recommended for applications such as a standard in western blot). However, this does not mean that H00007472-P01 is definitely not active, just that we do not currently have sufficient evidence to guarantee that it is active.
