Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 493-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (green, upper panel; Catalog # NL009) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). Background

SOX3 belongs to the Sox (SRY-like HMG-box gene) family of transcription factors with diverse roles in development. SOX3 is expressed in the central nervous system from the earliest stages of development. It is one of the earliest neural markers in vertebrates and plays a role in specifying neuronal fate.
