Transmembrane Protein SEP
Plexin B1 is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the Plexin
family of semaphorin receptors. It is derived from a single peptide
that undergoes proteolytic processing in its extracellular domain to
form the non-covalently-linked heterodimer of the extracellular alpha
subunit and the transmembrane beta subunit. Human Plexin B1 extracellular
alpha subunit shares homology with semaphorins, HGF receptor and MSP
receptor and contains a sema domain and three IPT/TIG domains. It
functions as a receptor for semaphorin 4D/CD100. Multiple splice
isoforms of Plexin B1 have been reported. Within the region used as
immunogen, human Plexin B1 shares 90% and 97% amino acid sequence
homology with mouse and canine Plexin B1, respectively.
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
