Background

PGGT1B catalyzes the transfer of a geranyl-geranyl moiety from geranyl-geranyl pyrophosphate to both cysteines in Rab proteins with an -XXCC, -XCXC and -CCXX C-terminal, such as RAB1A, RAB3A and RAB5A respectively
