Background

Protein patched homolog 1 (PTCH1), the receptor of the Hedgehog pathway, is reported to function as a gatekeeper in tumor formation. Aberrant activation of Hedgehog signaling pathway leads to pathological consequences in a variety of human tumors. From experimental evidences it is found that PTCH exhibit a higher expression in well and moderate differentiated tumors, but a lower expression in poorly differentiated tumors. PTCH1 has also been identified as the protein responsible for nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome.

1. I need a proven anti-human Ptch1 antibody that maps C-terminus of Ptch1 protein which is thus appropriate for all isoforms of human Ptch1 protein. Can you please suggest any which can be used for Western blotting?
