Western Blot: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Analysis of human OLFM4 in human liver lysate in the 1) absence and 2) presence of immunizing peptide using OLFM4 antibody at 2 ug/ml.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Hek293 cells were fixed for 10 minutes using 10% formalin and then permeabilized for 5 minutes using 1X TBS + 0.5% Triton-X100. The cells were incubated with anti-OLFM4 (NBP2-24535) at a 1:200 dilution overnight at 4C and detected with an anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a 1:500 dilution. Alpha tubulin was used as a co-stain at a 1:1000 dilution and detected with an anti-mouse Dylight 550 (Red) at a 1:500 dilution. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 40X objective.

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Tissue section of mouse stomach using OLFM4 antibody at 2.5ug/ml concentration with HRP-DAB detection and hematoxylin counterstaining. The antibody generated very specific staining for OLFM4 in almost all cell types. The signal was localized specifically to the inter-cellular spaces, the nuclei and the cytoplasm. The simple columnar epithelial cells showed stronger and a distinct inter-cellular signal compared to the cells of the gastric glands.

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Analysis of OLFM4 in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human liver tissue using OLFM4 antibody at 5 ug/ml.

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Tissue section of mouse liver using OLFM4 antibody at 2.5ug/ml concentration with HRP-DAB detection and hematoxylin counterstaining. Simple Western: OLFM4 Antibody [NBP2-24535] - Simple Western lane view shows a specific band for OLMF4 in 0.2 mg/ml of Human Liver (left) and Mouse Liver (right) lysate. This experiment was performed under reducing conditions using the 12-230 kDa separation system. *Non-specific interaction with the 230 kDa standard may be seen with this antibody.

Background

OLFM4 (olfactomedin 4) was originally cloned from human myeloblasts and found to be selectively expressed in inflammed colonic epithelium. OLFM4 (olfactomedin 4) is a member of the olfactomedin related protein family. The exact function of this gene has not yet been determined.
