Western Blot: MTMR2 Antibody (2D2) [NBP2-03384] HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY MTMR2 (Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-MTMR2.

Flow Cytometry: MTMR2 Antibody (2D2) [NBP2-03384] - HEK293T cells transfected with either overexpression plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-MTMR2 antibody, and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

Background

This gene is a member of the myotubularin family. The encoded protein possesses phosphatase activity towards phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate and phosphatidylinositol-3,5-bisphosphate. Mutations in this gene are a cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4B, an autosomal recessive demyelinating neuropathy. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq].
