MKRN1 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NB100-55304-1). For blotting immunoprecipitated MKRN1,NB100-55304 was used at 0.1 ug/ml. Background

MKRN1 was identified as a repressor of c-Jun, androgen receptor, and retinoic acid receptor transcriptional activity. MKRN1 is a RING zinc finger protein that has been demonstrated to function as an E3 ubiquitin ligase. The repressive activity of MKRN1 is not dependent on its ubiquitin ligase activity. MKRN1 also appears to function as a transactivator of RNA polymerase II dependent transcription.
