Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: Laforin/EPM2A Antibody [NBP2-24474] - Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human heart stained with EPM2A antibody at 10 ug/ml. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10 mM sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Background

EPM2A encodes a dual-specificity phosphatase that associates with polyribosomes. The encoded protein may be involved in the regulation of glycogen metabolism. Mutations in this gene have been associated with myoclonic epilepsy of Lafora. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq]
