Background

IRTA2 is a novel gene and encodes a cell surface receptor homologous to the Fc and inhibitory receptor families. It is expressed in centrocytes, marginal zone B cells, and immunoblasts and is a novel immunoreceptor implicated in B cell development and lymphomagenesis.
