• Application Notes: IHC: NBP1-02326 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity.

Background

BRS3 is classified as an Orphan-A Receptor and is highly similar to the bombesin receptors but has a very low affinity for bombesin itself. Mice lacking BRS3 develop metabolic defects and obesity, suggesting that BRS3 may be an important target for obesity research. In addition, BRS3 may be involved in diabetes and hypertension.
