Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-AP3B1 antibody NBP3-28978 (lot NBP3-28978-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. AP3B1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-AP3B1 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated AP3B1, NBP3-28978 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background

AP3B1 encodes a protein that may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. The encoded protein is part of the heterotetrameric AP-3 protein complex which interacts with the scaffolding protein clathrin.
