Background

This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone thatfunctions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteinsthat inhibit adenylate cyclase activity
