Background

THUMPD2 is a gene that codes for a protein expressed in a variety of tissues including the brain, colon, and kidney that has two isoforms, measuring 503 and 303 amino acids in length, with weights of approximately 56 and 34 kDa respectively. Current studies are being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including tuberculosis. THUMPD2 has also been shown to have interactions with UBC.

Limitations
