Background

SDS3 is a subunit of the histone deacetylase-dependent SIN3A corepressor complex. The SIN3A corepressor complex functions to repress transcription through its interaction with histone deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2. SDS3 has been demonstrated to play a role in pericentric heterochromatin
