Immunoprecipitation:PLD1 AntibodyNBP3-29378] -Detection of human PLD1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PLD1 antibody NBP3-29378 (lot NBP3-29378-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PLD1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PLD1 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated PLD1, NBP3-29378 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background

Phosphatidylcholine (PC)-specific phospholipases D (PLDs; EC 3.1.4.4) catalyze the hydrolysis of PC to produce phosphatidic acid and choline. A range of agonists acting through G protein-coupled receptors and receptor tyrosine kinases stimulate this hydrolysis. PC-specific PLD activity has been implicated in numerous cellular pathways, including signal transduction, membrane trafficking, and the regulation of mitosis (Hammond et al., 1995 [PubMed 8530346]).[supplied by OMIM]
