Immunoprecipitation:Nexilin AntibodyNBP3-28891] -Detection of human Nexillin by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-Nexillin antibody NBP3-28891 used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. Nexillin was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-Nexillin antibody , which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated Nexillin, rabbit anti-Nexillin antibody was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background

Nexilin is an F actin binding protein that is involved in regulating cell migration through association with the actin cytoskeleton. It is abundantly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle, and at lower levels in placenta, lung, liver and pancreas. It is also expressed in HeLa, S3 and Molt 4 cells.
